BistroLink has 10 core values that illustrate what we believe, how we behave, and what we expect from others.  As we evolve, these ideals should grow with us as we are always open to change.  The concepts we lay out here can be summarized as “love what you do, have fun, and be of service.”

BRAVERY – Growth and innovation are a result of enthusiastically making tough decisions. It’s important that the members of our company have no fear. We know that the real jewels come from the difficult phone call to a client or the uncomfortable disagreement with a supervisor. Every employee, especially those on the front lines, should feel powerful and help drive change.

INDEPENDENCE – We look for our team members to be decision makers. We don’t like the word potential; it means you’re not doing anything. We work to unleash talent by allowing ourselves the opportunity to fail. We are proactive; “to worry” is not an action. The group is as strong as its members and we love to learn from the mistakes of innovative people.

SERVICE – We must be passionate about stellar customer service. Life is not a dress rehearsal. We are committed to generously supporting each other and our clients. Every interaction is a form of marketing, so we look to make a positive impact on the lives we touch. And it’s the right thing to do.

TRANSPARENCY – Honesty leads to strong relationships built on trust and respect. Information is at our fingertips and we embrace that. We don’t over-promise and under-deliver or under-promise and over-deliver; that is game playing.  We tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may.  Our clients know the status of their projects in real-time and we welcome input from everyone involved with us.

RESPONSIBILITY – The lie is that we are separate; we are in this together as part of a greater whole. This is where we find our unity. Of course we want everyone to be happy, but given a choice between fulfilling our individual desires and preserving common welfare, we put the best interests of the company first. Philanthropy is an obligation; a portion of all BistroLink revenue goes to charity.  This is enlightened self-interest and our responsibility to our fellows.

OPEN-MINDEDNESS – We like to be open to new experiences and are willing to put all conditioning aside to make that happen.  Tolerance reminds us that judgment is narrow-minded. Finding our true intuition comes through trial and error and we have the courage to follow our gut feelings. We are not better than any other member of the group and can learn from everyone.

LAUGHTER is encouraged and fun is mandatory.  Our job is not a tool to make our leisure time enjoyable.  We spend at least half of our waking hours at work, so we insist on bringing our personalities and pleasures with us.

INTEGRITY is the consistent application of our core beliefs, no matter what the circumstances. Leaders who demonstrate this quality inspire our trust. We serve best when we display an honest respect for the trust placed in us by others.

NUTRITION – We work with restaurants because we like food.  We spend a lot of time eating and like to do it together. We feed our minds bodies and spirits. Of course everyone is asked to be passionate about their jobs, but never at the expense of health. We encourage and provide gym memberships and believe that healthy diet and exercise leads to efficiency and happiness.

KINDNESS  should be at the top of the list but our name is not KNILORTSIB. It is expressed in the practice of goodwill and the care with which we speak and the way we treat one another. We are good, compassionate listeners. Our connection with others shows in how far we will go in cooperating with them.
